The annual Sun Riders Miata Club picnic was held Sunday May 4th. A group of about 20 SunRiders were in attendance for some great food, fun times and clear blue skies.

If you've never been to Ft Desoto, you have missed one of Pinellas counties greatest treasures. A beautiful spring day brought out the crowds.
Our reserved shelter provided shade and a great breeze kept everyone comfortable.
The group waits patiently as the line starts to form. Burgers and hot dogs were on the menu.
Here's some of our spread. Everyone brought a dish to share. Desserts and salads were tasty. Judy spent days preparing her world famous baked beens. Pete and Belinda brought gourmet pizza from Alessi's. Rosemary's chocolate cup cakes were melt in your mouth good.
Our banner flew proudly.... that is until the duct tape gave way.
Here's our chefs for the day. Mike and Kathy did all the cookin and put together a great time for the group. Thanks guys !!!
What a beautiful place. 
The water was a bit too cool still for most of us. But wading in the surf still felt very good. Though we didn't have as many people attend as said they were coming this year, a nice time was had by those that did. Thanks to everyone who worked so hard to put this event together.
